This is one of those images that makes me smile every time I look at it. Here is my mother, at her peak of health and happiness, with our two dogs. I believe it was taken in the summer of 1989, right before I was heading off to college. As I reflect back on her life and my life with her, I realize this was one of those periods of time when she had the greatest influence on me. She was so positive, so creative, and so brimming with life.
