It was over 90 degrees in Seattle today. Can you believe that? Granted, some of the heat was being generated by the nearly 200,000 people marching in the Seattle Pride Parade down 4th Ave, but mostly it was becuase there were no clouds, no rain, and no wind. For a city that seemed to be in a state of perpetual grey and rain, it was an awesome break.
My wife and I took the opportunity to relax at a small park on the waterfront, where this herring was searching for his (or her) Sunday brunch. The bird waited extremely patiently before pulling out a fish three times the size of its head. He waited for about 20 minutes until gulping the fish whole.
